Ellen apparently missed Dakota's birthday party because she was watching a football game with George W. Bush.
Where were you when Ellen DeGeneres got roasted on her own show by Dakota Johnson, the internet's new favourite chaotic legend?
The Fifty Shades Of Grey actress recently sat down with Ellen to talk about her new movie The Peanut Butter Falcon but the conversation quickly turned into an awkward interaction concerning Dakota's 30th birthday party.

Ellen started the interview by asking Dakota about her recent birthday (October 4th, for those of you who wish to send her a gift). "You turned 30. And how was the party? I wasn’t invited."
Oh, but you were invited, Ellen. And it was at that moment that she realised she had f*cked up.
For those that have not seen the interview yet, here's a recap of exactly what went down.
Dakota replied to Ellen's claim that she wasn't invited by calling her out: "Actually no, that’s not the truth, Ellen, you were invited. Last time I was on the show, last year, you gave me a bunch of shit about not inviting, you, but I didn’t even know you wanted to be invited. I didn’t even know you liked me.’
Ellen then replied: "Of course I like you, you knew I liked you? You’ve been on the show many times, don’t I show like?"
"But I did invite you and you didn’t come. So…" Dakota said before Ellen replied, now looking very shook: "Are you sure? I don’t think so"

And then, dear reader, and then Dakota told her to "ask everybody" to which her producers confirmed that she was invited but she was actually out of town.
The clip has since gone viral and has spawned a ton of memes and tweets from people who cannot get enough to Dakota's chaotic response.

The tweets then went to another level when the internet discovered exactly where Ellen was on Dakota's birthday weekend.
After a quick google sleuth, people soon realised that Dakota's birthday party took place on Saturday, October 5th in Malibu. That also turned out to be the same weekend where Ellen was spotted in Dallas watching a football game with George W. Bush.
She would later defend herself for hanging out with the former president after being heavily criticised by the LGBTQ+ community.
Knowing that Ellen missed Dakota Johnson’s 30th birthday to hang with her good buddy George Bush really is the icing on the cake.

The rest of the interview was just as awkward and included Dakota admitting that she skipped out of Ellen's party early because she "was out of town." She also called Tig Notaro her favourite comedian. Sorry to this Ellen.
Y’all aren’t talking enough about the second part of this interview, where Dakota Johnson makes it clear she wants Ellen DEAD.

It's also not the first time Dakota has absolutely dragged a talk show host either. She also called out the infamous interrupter Jimmy Fallon for not letting her finish a story.
