Chase Hudson says he didn't take his own life following rumours
"I did not try and kill myself. I know they want me to kill myself but I'm not going to."
Chase Hudson has addressed a rumour that he took his own life after TikTok users began speculating beneath his videos.
This week, the Hype House co-founder shared videos on his TikTok page as usual. However, the comment section was soon flooded with fans urging him to not take his own life. Many speculated that he had, while others stated that fellow Hype House member Avani Gregg saved his life. It's not known where this rumour came from and how it even started, however, Avani's comments echoed the same messages.
"Thank you for saving Chase," one user wrote beneath Avani's video. Meanwhile, beneath Chase's video, users wrote: "PLEASE DON'T DO IT AIGEN JUST KNOW UR LOVED," and "Please remember that you're worth it and people need you in life!!"

On Thursday (Sep 10), Chase decided to shut down the rumours that had been spreading on TikTok. "I just wanna come on here and address the rumours that have been going around… they're false," he explained.
"I did not try and kill myself. I know they want me to kill myself but I'm not going to. I haven't been suicidal for quite a long while now. I'm just a sad person – I'm not suicidal. I love you guys, suicide is never the answer."
In another video, he shared the suicide hotline number in the hope of helping someone during Suicide Prevention Month and urged his followers to "check in on your friends".
He said: "Your life is valued. Write it on your mirror. Tell yourself it everyday so you believe it too. And if no-one told you today, I'll be the first one to tell you that I love you."
