Bella Thorne Has Been Slammed On Twitter Over This Insensitive "Self-Centred" Tweet

She got called out by actor Rob Lowe too.
Bella Thorne is catching a liiiiiittle bit of backlash at the moment over an insensitive tweet.
Bella complained, in the now deleted tweet, about the traffic on the way to Santa Barbara where her boyfriend, Modsun, was playing the first gig of his tour. She wrote: "F*ck u 101 to santa barbra. I'm missing my boyfriends first date on his tour:(((."
Now, we all know that traffic in LA is the worst of all time so why is Bella's tweet a problem? Well, in case you haven't been keeping up with the news, there has been a huge storm and a deadly mudslide in Santa Barbara, where Bella was heading. As of Thursday (Jan 11), reports say that 17 people have been confirmed dead with another 17 people still missing. Children are among the victims and people literally had to be pulled out of thick mud by emergency services.
People on Twitter weren't particularly thrilled with her comments:
Wake up and read the news child. More important things in life than a stupid concert you missed.

@bellathorne your ignorance to the #MontecitoMudslide situation’s disgusting. There are 17 people dead, the youngest is a 3 year old girl. Thank you @RobLowe for bringing this to people’s attention when the original tweet was deleted. #805strong pic.twitter.com/34Xj8ey1tg

I’m so sorry that you’ve been inconvenienced by the 17 people that have lost their lives. This must be tough for you

Seriously, I live in the UK and I know what’s going on!!!!

Actor Rob Lowe then saw the tweet and called her out on her self-centred comment saying: "This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood. Bella, I’m sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker."
Bella, quickly realising what had happened after reading up on the situation, then deleted the tweet. She didn't respond to Lowe's Instagram post but she did tweet again, hoping everyone gets home to their families safely. Bella clearly didn't mean anything malicious by her initial tweet. We all f*ck up sometimes, but a little more awareness wouldn't have gone a miss.
Fuck just caught up on some news had no idea why the 101 was shut down...get home to your family safe ❤️
