Barbie is an icon. Like many icons, Barbie's last name isn't vital to her brand. In fact, we bet you've never considered the fact that Barbie even has a last name.
Well, for National Siblings day, Mattel revealed what the iconic doll's surname is and it's actually....normal AF.

Barbie Roberts has been around since 1959 and, according to her Wikipedia page, is a Wisconsin native born to George and Margaret Roberts.
Can you believe?
Don't feel bad if you didn't realise that Barbie was a mid- Westerner with a family name, lots of other people were just as shocked.

Barbie isn't the only one with a little known surname. Her longtime boyfriend Ken is actually named Ken Carson and now it feels like we never really knew our dolls growing up.
We're not calling her Barbie anymore. It's Barbie Millicent Roberts. Say it with your chest, guys.
