Rosé was born in Aukland, New Zealand, before moving to Australia with her family (she has one older sister) at the age of 7. After a successful audition for YG Entertainment, beating out 399 other applicants, Rosé landed a spot in the band, moved to South Korea at the age of 16 and trained for four years before debuting with the others.
