The two female artists received a moving video tribute at the awards show last night to mark their deaths.
Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse were honoured at the BRIT Awards 2012 last night (21st February) at London's O2 Arena.
The two iconic female artists each received a special montage video charting their careers, which were introduced to the audience by host James Corden.
"She not only inspired the world with her incredible voice but also influenced many of the artists here with us tonight," James said of 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' singer Whitney, who passed away on 11th February at the age of 48.
'Back To Black' singer Amy was also honoured at this year's BRITs ceremony, following her death eight months ago back in July 2011 aged 27.
Both Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston are former BRIT Awards winners, with Amy having won Best Female Solo Artist back in 2007 and Whitney picking up Best Soundtrack Recording for The Bodyguard in 1994.
