Youth@Heart

Youth@Heart supports young people aged 16-24 living with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) across the South West and South Wales.
CHD is a general term for a range of birth defects that affect the normal workings of the heart.
The charity helps families to cope with the physical and emotional challenges of life-limiting, or terminal heart conditions and provides support to enable young people to have greater access to life opportunities.
Youth@Heart is also dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of the challenges for young people and their families living with CHD.
Project supported by Make Some Noise
Global’s Make Some Noise is proud to support the charity’s full-time Youth Worker role, who will provide direct support to young people with congenital heart disease, enabling them, despite their significant, often terminal illness and uncertain futures, to access opportunities that they would otherwise be unable to participate in.
This includes help accessing educational and employment opportunities, as well as activities and support groups to bring families together.
The Youth Worker’s befriending role is extremely vital during difficult hospital appointments or hospitalisation that children with CHD may go through.
With your help, we can support projects like this one and many more across the UK.
