What the hell is a movement coach and where can I find one?

By now we're sure you've seen the very incredible video for Troye Sivan's comeback single 'My, My, My!' a million times already but we bet you didn't know the secret trick Troye had up his sleeve to help him nail those sexy dance moves.

In a very special chat on the PopBuzz Podcast, Troye revealed he didn't use a choreographer for the shoot, as many people had believed, but hired a 'movement coach' instead.

So what the hell is a movement coach? Let Troye explain.

"So there was a movement coach on set...yeah. Well, the thing was it wasn't choreography. He wasn't a choreographer because none of it was planned out. It was more like he would come up to me between takes and say 'keep your head up' or whatever. Little things like that."

Turns out, the movement coach was crucial in Troye overcoming the awkwardness of having a crew of 60 people watching you dance by yourself in a giant warehouse.

"The main thing was I was so nervous because obviously that's super uncomfortable to do in front of people. The crew was 60 people or something and for the first shot they put me in this big, wide warehouse," Troye explained.

"I'm standing in the middle of the warehouse and all the crew are just standing there watching, a little bit bored maybe, and so I'm like 'oh my god, now I have to strut up and down as if I'm having the best time of my life' and I was really scared. So what I did, there was a pillar in the middle of the warehouse, and I made the movement coach stand behind the pillar where the camera couldn't see him and made him do all the moves just so I didn't feel like I was the only one having a really good time."

Elsewhere in the interview, Troye also explained how he came to write songs with Carly Rae Jepsen and why they won't be on his forthcoming album.

"For this album, we wrote and it just never, like...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. We wrote a really cute song...you end up writing 50 songs for an album when you wanna pick 10 so sometimes they just don't make it".

It might not make this album but we're still going to listen to it sooner or later, Troye!
