And we at Capital Breakfast wanted to see it for ourselves. Dan, Katy & producer Ben went to Alton Towers Scarefest. What we saw when we got there surprised even us!

The Carnival of Screams
A travelling funhouse invites guests to venture inside. But who is the terrifying stranger who lurks in the shadows? What happens to those guests who enter, but never come out the other side? Dare you brave the twisted terror and disorientating illusions hidden within the Carnival of Screams? Remember…nothing is as it seems!
Open daily from 12noon - last admission 9.30pm.

The Boiler House
A Boiler House, found deep underground, is rumoured to be the grisly lair to a pair of violent and psychopathic serial killers. Dare you explore the darkened corridors of the Boiler House and risk falling victim to the gruesome games of the "Hamble Twins"?

Terror of the Towers - What Lies Within
Uncover a dark and horrifying secret, hidden for centuries as strange noises has been heard emanating from the imposing, menacing Towers in the dead of the night. Lurking deep within the ruins, weave your way through the darkened corridors to investigate the evil force of the Towers. Dare you brave the rubble and hazards of the ruins and uncover the horrific chilling terror that lies within?

ZOMBIES! Scare Zone
The United Kingdom has succumbed to the fallout of Nuclear War and a post-apocalyptic world is all that is left for a handful of survivors. But the nuclear fallout begins to mutate and affect some, turning them into dangerous animals that seek to feed off the flesh of others. Brave your way through this nightmarish walkthrough and pray you make it to the other side!

TH13TEEN: After Dark
If you go down to the woods today…you’d better not go alone! Brave the terrifying demons that haunt the queue line entrance to TH13TEEN, and prepare for the ultimate rollercoaster!

The Scare Rooms
Hotel refurbishment has revealed a previously bricked-up wing of the Alton Towers Hotel, dating back to the 1920’s. Now bookings have re-opened, giving guests a chance to stay in the oldest wing of the hotel; a wing which has been forgotten for nearly a century. What lost secrets will be revealed? What sinister past does the hotel hide? What terrifying curse awaits those who book into Room 13? Sleep tight!
