The '#thatPOWER' star says it didn't feel right to be getting paid for his role on the show.
Will.i.am has revealed the reason why he decided to donate his fee from The Voice UK to the Prince's Trust.
The Black Eyed Peas man returned for a second series of the show this year with the rest of the panel and said he "didn't feel right" accepting any money for the music reality show.
"The Voice is the BBC, it's the people's money, so it didn't feel right," he told The Big Issue.
Will stars on the show alongside Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue.
Meanwhile, the singer recently unveiled his new album '#willpower' and has been added to the line-up at this year's Wireless Festival.
The 'Scream & Shout' singer is also on the bill for Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2013.
Robbie Wiliams, Taylor Swift and The Wanted will all be appearing at the event, which takes place on 9th June at Wembley Stadium.
