The 'This Is Love' rapper also reveals the two recorded together while their were neighbours in 2012.
Will.i.am says it involved "a lot of trekking" to make sure he could get Justin Bieber to appear in his music video for new single '#ThatPower'.
The 'Scream & Shout' rapper says he was difficult to get the video done because of Justin's current 'Believe' tour, but says it was worth it once he saw the finished product.
He's on tour. It was tough to get this video," will.i.am told ET this past weekend. "I had to fly to Barcelona to shoot Justin Bieber then flew to Japan to work with Rio and the boys on the choreography for it. So it was a lot of trekking."
The US rapper went on to reveal that he and Justin ended up working together on the new song by coincidence, after they were neighbours for a short period last year.
"Justin Bieber was my next-door neighbour last year," Will.i.am revealed. 'And I called him on the phone when I saw his car outside. And he came to the crib and we made that song and then he moved!"
