The 'Bang Bang' rapper says fans shouldn't expect the album to all be similar to her lead single release.
Will.i.am has opened up on Britney Spears' new album and says lead single 'Work Bitch' isn't a true reflection of the complete album.
The 'Scream & Shout' rapper, who was executive producer on the new record, says they chose the single because it's a reflection of the star herself, but claims the album is more varied than the song suggests.
"The album is what the album is, but we felt that song needed to come out to keep the foundation on what Britney represents," will.i.am told Billboard this week. "But it shouldn't reflect the album, the album is a body of work as a collective.
"If we had to pick a song like, 'Oh, what song fits every colour of the record', you shouldn't do that," he explained. "We felt that song represents 'Piece Of Me', that Britney oomph.

Earlier this month Britney unveiled the music video for 'Work Bitch', which is set to be released in the UK on 3rd November.
Britney Spears will then release her new eighth studio album on 3rd December.
