Yikes, this is awkward.
Being a celebrity, you probably prepare yourself for some incredibly cringeworthy questions. However, we're guessing Troye Sivan didn't know he was going to be quizzed about his preferred sex position in this "wildly invasive" interview.

An interview from the September issue of New Zealand LGBTQ+ magazine Express is being called out on Twitter and the questions are truly wild.
It all started when one Twitter user brought the interview to everyone's attention, tweeting: "who’s this interviewer the bar is on the floor," alongside an image of the spread.
Basically, the interview contained random questions about Will & Grace and whether Troye's boyfriend Jacob Bixenman would give him a "hall pass" to sleep with Shawn Mendes…right.
The interviewer then moved on to a quick fire round, which concluded with the question: "Top or bottom?" Obviously, referring to the different sexual positions usually performed between two men.
Troye had an incredibly polite response, though, saying he would be "definitely passing" on that question. Later on Twitter, he explained more about his thoughts on the "inappropriate" interview.
I thought about asking the interviewer about his absolute fave sex position after that last question, but then i remembered how wildly invasive, strange and innapropriate that would be. Didn’t stop him though! https://t.co/mo80DziQrH

"Next time I’ll just do a Twitter q&a."

Troye's fans were quick to call out the interview for focussing only on sex.
At least 50% of those questions were connected to sex.. Wtf is this even

literally all of these questions are about sex, his love life or his sexuality. you don’t ask someone if they’re a top or bottom ew. also why would he watch will and grace? just because there’s a gay character? https://t.co/fnMO5kwKHM

This is the most embarrassing set of interview questions I’ve ever seen. If I were Troye I would’ve walked out lol. https://t.co/KsQIFcX2Tk

Thank you Troye for calling out this “journalist” who feels the need to normalize sex-charged questions on gay men. It is utterly disgusting that people feel the need to ask questions like this on a professional interview. I guarantee you this never happens with straight people.
