The Voice UK's Bo Bruce Says Bosses Kept Her And Danny O'Donoghue Apart

The 'Before I Sleep' star says things became difficult when the press became "obsessed" with whether they were together.
Bo Bruce has claimed she wasn't allowed to be seen out with The Script's Danny O'Donoghue after rumours emerged of a secret romance.
The two were widely rumoured to be seeing each other while he mentored the rising singer on The Voice UK in 2012, but Bo says the show's bosses eventually ruined her chances of a relationship.
"We were incredibly close and he's a hot guy," Bo revealed to The Sun this week. "It was a mad time and meeting someone under those circumstances is difficult.
"There was such an obsession with whether or not we were together and that put wild amounts of pressure on us," she recalled. "In the end a decision was made for him to not be around me.
"The process of writing my album 'Before I Sleep' began when I was supposed to go with Danny to a Coldplay concert," Bo explained. "It was meant to be an end of The Voice present, for him and me, but he was told he was not allowed to because he couldn't be seen in public with me."
The former reality show contestant goes on to reveal she eventually went to the gig with someone else, where she met Coldplay's agent who eventually signed her.

When asked outright whether the two did get into a relationship during the show last year, Bo remained quiet on the subject.
"I can't talk about it openly because it doesn't just affect me," she added. 'But I answer everything on my album."
Bo Bruce's debut album 'Before I Sleep' is due for release on 29th April.
