The threats come after Taylor Swift accused Scooter Braun of blocking her from performing her own music at the AMAs.

Scooter Braun has asked Taylor Swift to meet with him personally after claiming that fans have threatened to kill his family.

Last week (Nov 15), Taylor Swift took to Twitter to call out Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun for allegedly stopping her from being able to perform her own music on TV. This June, Scooter purchased Taylor's masters (all the songs which she put out before Lover). In doing so, Scooter gained the rights to licence all of Taylor's previous music, giving him huge control over her catalogue of hits. Scooter is a music manager best known for representing Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

In a lengthy post, Taylor stated that she wanted to perform a medley of her hits at the AMAs but Scooter and Scott wouldn't sign off on it unless she agreed to not rerecord her masters and to stop talking about them. She then asked her fans to "let Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun know you feel about this" and, shortly afterwards, it was confirmed that Taylor could now perform her old songs at the AMAs.

However, Scooter is now alleging that he, his wife and kids have received violent threats and is reaching out to Taylor.

Taking to Instagram today (Nov 22), Scooter addressed Taylor. He wrote: "Since your public statement last week there have been numerous death threats directed at my family." He then added: "I came home tonight to find my wife had received a phone call threatening the safety of our children. I won't go in to the details of this past week. I have been at a loss. I am certain there is no situation ever worth jeopardising anyone's safety."

Scooter went on to say: “I assume this was not your intention but it is important that you understand that your words carry a tremendous amount of weight and that your message can be interpreted by some in different ways... We are living in a time of pointless violence and as a husband and father I am concerned.”

He continued: "My attempts and calls to have an open discussion with you over the last six months have all been rejected. While some on your team and many of our mutual friends have tried to get you to the table, all have had no luck. It almost feels as if you have no interest in ever resolving the conflict."

He ended the post writing: "Moving forward I would like to find a resolution. I will make myself available whenever works for you." He also included a screenshot of a violent threat he received, saying: "Hi, why don't you just die with your children? I will buy a gun tmr and then shoot you all in the head."

As it stands, Taylor is yet to respond to Scooter publicly. We shall update you if she does.
