The artists are the first confirmed names on the line-up for this year's industry event in Frankfurt.
Taylor Swift has been confirmed to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2012 next month.
The 'We Are Never Getting Back Together' singer is up for a total of five awards on the night and will take to the stage alongside Muse and No Doubt, who've also been announced as the first performers on the line-up.
"I've always wanted to go to the EMAs, because you hear about the spectacle of it, and how everyone just goes all out for their performances," the country star said in a statement. "To be nominated for five EMAs was the most exciting feeling, and I was absolutely blown away. I can't wait to be there this year and perform on the show!"
The singer will go up against the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry in the Best Female category and have to fight off competition from such stars as Lady Gaga and Green Day for the Best Live prize.
The big night will be hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum and takes place live from Frankfurt's Festhalle on Sunday 11th November at 9pm.
Other stars who are among the nominations include One Direction, Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.
Meanwhile, Taylor has recently opened up on her plans to start a family, admitting she would love to have at least four children.
She will also release new album 'Red' on 22nd October.
