Fresh reports suggest Gary has told X Factor bosses he won't be back on the show next year to rejoin his band.
Gary Barlow has reportedly decided to quit The X Factor UK next year to refocus on Take That's new album and a potential new European tour.
The 'Shame' singer is currently travelling the UK to judge auditions for the show's new series, but fresh rumours suggest he believes this year will be his last on the show.
"Gary's a decent bloke and figured it was best to lay his cards on the table as early as possible," a source told The Sun this week. "He wants to get back to what he does best, recording a new Take That album and touring with his bandmates.
"It looks like there's no room for X Factor so this is likely to be his best year," they explained. "The producers always feared his day job would get in the way, and they're delighted they've had him for three years.
"I'm sure they'll present Gary with a plan that could see him do both, they moved auditions in 2010 to allow him to meet his gig commitments, but they know three years on X Factor is likely to be enough for him," the source added.

It is claimed in the report that Take That are planning to return to the recording studio around February next year with plans to head out on tour between 2014 and 2015.
The X Factor UK currently sees a panel of Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.
A spokesperson for Gary Barlow has since claimed the singer has not made "any decisions" about next year yet.
