Shakira Says She And Rihanna Are Close Friends: "She's Still The Girl Next Door"

The 'Hips Don't Lie' star says the pair text each other a lot to keep in touch.

Shakira has opened up about her friendship with Rihanna and insists the 'What Now' singer is still just the "girl next door" type.

The 'Can't Remember To Forget You' star, who recently teamed up with Rihanna on a song, says the Bajan superstar remains "approachable" and "humble" despite her huge global success.

"She is still the girl next door, approachable and humble," Shakira revealed in The Sun On Sunday at the weekend. "We are friends and text each other, but our lives are in different geographic places.

"She's quite a busy woman and so am I," the 'Hips Don't Lie' singer added.

Rihanna has recently been joining Drake out on the road on his European tour, amid rumours the pair are enjoying a romance together.
