The actress and singer will not be focusing on her love life in the upcoming release.
Selena Gomez's new album will not feature any songs written about her break-up with Justin Bieber, according to one of the record's producers.
The 'Love You Like A Love Song' singer has been working on her upcoming release for much of the past year, but comments from producer Jason Evigan suggest she consciously avoided referencing the young couple's recent split.
"She didn't really want to talk about the Justin stuff too much in her music," Jason revealed to MTV News this week. "She didn't want to bash him.
"She never wanted to write songs about him,' he explained. "I think that's why it's funny 'cause even the song 'Rule The World', it sounds like it was written about that.
"I think she got upset about it because she didn't want to write a song about 'you broke my heart'," Jason continued. "She wants to be empowering for these girls not to dwell on guys when guys break your heart.
"She's super uplifting, positive, amazing person who's, spiritually, she's really strong," he added.

The producer went on to predict a "great year" for the former Disney actress, with the expected release of her album this summer.
Reports this week suggest Selena is unhappy with 'Boyfriend' singer Justin's plans to feature her in a new 3D concert movie later this year.
Selena Gomez recently admitted she is loving being single again, following the release of her new film Spring Breakers.
