Shortly after Selena's single came out, Hailey posted a screenshot of Summer Walker's song 'I'll Kill You' on Instagram.
Selena Gomez has addressed Hailey Bieber allegedly dissing her over 'Lose You To Love Me' on Instagram in a new video.
Yesterday (Oct 23), Selena Gomez returned with her brand new single 'Lose You to Love Me'. The song is a striking self-love anthem about leaving a toxic relationship and learning to love yourself. As soon as Selena released the track, fans began to speculate that it's inspired by Justin Bieber. Lyrics such as "In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy" appear to directly reference Justin moving on and marrying Hailey almost immediately after he broke up with Selena in 2018.

Hailey then appeared to take shots at Selena on Instagram in response to the single. Shortly after it came out, Hailey posted a screenshot of Summer Walker's song 'I'll Kill You' on Instagram. It includes the lyrics: "You don't want no problems, I wish a bitch would / Tryna come between us, it won't end up good / You know I love you like no one else could". Fans assumed that Hailey posted the song on her stories to take a dig at Selena after the release of 'Lose You to Love Me'.
Now Selena has spoken up about the true meaning behind 'Lose You to Love Me' and Hailey Bieber.
Taking to Instagram live, Selena said: "I am grateful for the response that the song is getting. I am so grateful. However, I do not stand for women tearing other women down and I will never ever. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn't matter what the situation is. If you're my fans, don't be rude to anybody please."
She then added: "Don't go off and say things that you just feel in the moment. Just please for me, know that that's not my heart."
Explaining the meaning behind 'Lose You to Love Me' to Radio Disney, Selena stated: "I can't be inauthentic. I can't pretend that I'm not going through something when it's obvious that I had been. It's one of those songs where I feel like it's out, it's released and I hope that girls and guys all over the world can feel supported."
She continued: "That was something that I needed to do myself regardless of what was gonna come after."
Hailey also took to Instagram to deny dissing Selena. JustJared posted a photo of Hailey's Summer Walker screenshot on Instagram with the title caption: "Fans think Hailey Bieber posted quite the pointed response to Selena Gomez, after the release of Selena' song 'Lose You to Love Me'. Hailey then commented: "Please stop with this nonsense ... there is no 'response'. This is complete BS."
Hailey has since deleted her comment but we think it's pretty clear that there's no drama between her and Selena.
