Watch Sam picking his favourite former winners of the gong ahead of the show tonight.
Sam Smith has revealed his favourite previous BRITs Critics' Choice winners exclusively to Capital FM ahead of the awards show later today (19th February).
The 'Money On My Mind' singer is the 2014 recipient of the award and also says it feels "amazing" getting to walk in to the BRITs ceremony as a winner before the show has even started.
"It's amazing, I get to go there with an award," Sam exclusively told us before the big day. "And I think that's the first and last time that'll ever happen, and that's going to be great."
'Latch' vocalist Sam also named Adele and Emeli Sande as his favourite Critics' Choice winners from the past, particularly singling out Emeli for her "amazing" album and "unbelievable" songwriting.
I love Adele so much and I think I can identify with her, just with the honesty in her lyrics," Sam added. "But I love Emeli Sande so much actually.
"That album ['Our Version Of Events'] is amazing and I keep referring back to it all the time and her songwriting is just unbelievable.
"All of them. I love female singers and the female singers who had that award are just incredible."
Sam Smith is set to be in attendance at the BRIT Awards 2014 this evening, where his regular collaborators Disclosure are up for several gongs.
