The Grammy Award-winning star will miss ALL planned shows over the next couple of months.
We're sad to announce that unfortunately Sam Smith will be unable to perform at Capital's Summertime Ball 2015 with Vodafone.
The global superstar was due to take to the stage at London's iconic Wembley Stadium on Saturday June 6th alongside the likes of One Direction, Avicii and Ariana Grande, however doctors have advised that Sam has further treatment and vocal rest.
Sam recently had to cancel tour dates in Australia and Japan due to a haemorrhage on his vocal cord. The singer has since seen a specialist who has advised he receive suspension microlaryngoscopy surgery. The treatment is set to take between 6-8 weeks however a full recovery is expected.
