The 'R.I.P.' singer also dismissed rumours of any rivalry between the two pop stars.
Rita Ora says she has no problem with comparisons to Rihanna and admires the 'We Found Love' star's "hardcore" work ethic and discipline.
The 'R.I.P.' singer says she admires the Bajan pop star and hopes to emulate Rihanna's constant success in the music industry with her own career.
"I admire Rihanna," Rita told Complex magazine this month, regarding her fellow Roc Nation artist.. "She works her ass off.
"She hasn't had a break and she has given people hit after hit. That work ethic and discipline is hardcore," she explained. "That's the kind of s**t that I want to do. That I will do."
Rita also opened up about rumours of a rivalry between the two stars, and said that a picture of them kissing back in May in London was posted as an intentional way to show how wrong the media had been.
"Everyone thought that we hated each other, but the whole thing was created by the media. That's what's so funny," Rita said. "[Rihanna] said, 'Let's just tweet this and get people mad'. We made a joke out of it."
Rita added: "Roc Nation is such an incredible, unique team, especially in the music industry. Everyone genuinely loves and cares about each other."
"Rita is the kind of artist who's going to win by just being herself. When Rihanna came out we heard the Beyonce comparisons. People jump to that when it's someone they don't know. Like, 'Oh, that's that girl who wants to be Beyonce. Now they're saying the same thing about Rita, that she's the new Rihanna. She just has to show them who she is and she'll be fine.
