The UK star confirms the news as she prepares to take to that Oscars stage.
The rumours WERE true! Rita Ora has confirmed the biggest gig of her life… playing the Oscars 2015 ceremony!
Last week comments from songwriter Diane Warren seemed to reveal that the 'I Will Never Let You Down' star would be taking to the stage at the 87th Academy Awards in February, and now Rita herself has confirmed the news.
"I'm excited to announce @TheAcademy invited me to perform on the #Oscars on Feb 22nd!" Rita posted today (28th January).

Rita recorded the Diane Warren-written song 'Grateful' for the 2013 movie 'Beyond The Lights', which has since been nominated for Best Original Song at this year's awards, despite never being an official single.
Diane told Vanity Fair: "I hope they're waking up today saying, 'Oh maybe we should put this out as a single. Maybe when she sings for three billion people on the stage at the Oscars?"
So there you have it, Rita will be hitting the Oscars stage in front of the Hollywood industry's finest.
The Oscars 2015 takes place on Sunday 22nd February hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
