The singer says Beyonce advised her to make the crowd sing along if she ever forgets the lyrics.
Rita Ora says Beyonce has given her great career advice about performing live, including what to do when you forget the words while singing in front of a huge audience.
The 'R.I.P.' star became friends with the 'Love On Top' singer ever since signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation record label back in 2009, and says Beyonce taught her a good trick for how to cope if you forget song lyrics in the heat of a performance.
"Beyonce gave me performing advice," Rita revealed to The Metro this week. "She said if you forget the words put the mic out so the crowd sings along with you.
"I've used it for when I'm out of breathe," Rita admitted. "i run around on stage so much, when I get a bit out of breath, I'll put the mic out and say: 'Sing along'.
The 'Party & BS (How We Do)' singer, who scored a number one of the Vodafone Big Top 40 earlier this month with her latest single, also says she doesn't mind being compared to other female singers like Beyonce and Rihanna.
"I'm not fed up but the comparisons are expected - Beyonce and Rihanna - because they're associated with Roc Nation as well," she added. "I'd probably think the same but now that people can hear my music, hopefully it will set me apart."
