The 'Talk That Talk' singer says the 48 year-old singer's death is "so sad".
Rihanna has described Whitney Houston as one of the "greatest", after watching the singer's funeral over the weekend.
The 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' singer was laid to rest with a private family ceremony in New Jersey on Saturday (18th February), which was steamed online for the benefit of Whitney's fans worldwide, and Rihanna says she has been listening to the singer's music in tribute.
"#DearWhitney your Legend, your spirit and your music will live with us for EVER!!!" Rihanna tweeted. "Impossible to forget you, you were the greatest! #1LOVE.
"Can't wait to get in my room and put #DearWhitney on full blast!!!!" the 'We Found Love' singer later added. "So sad…"
Whitney Houston's funeral on Saturday was attended by the likes of Alicia Keys, Dionne Warwick, Kevin Costner and Stevie Wonder.
The 'You Da One' singer is currently in London celebrating her 24th birthday today (20th February) ahead of her scheduled performance at the BRIT Awards 2012 tomorrow.
Rihanna is also expected to release her 'Talk That Talk' album track 'Birthday Cake' as an extended remix later today featuring a "shocking" collaboration.
