Rihanna And Taylor Swift Lead MTV EMA 2012 Nominations

The likes of Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, One Direction and Rita Ora are all up for awards this November.
Rihanna and Taylor Swift lead the nominations for this years MTV Europe Music Awards 2012 (EMAs) while Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj have also all scored multiple nods for the upcoming industry event.
Rihanna picked up a total of six nominations in the announcement today (17th September) with Best Female, Best Pop Act and Best Look along with nods for Best Song and Best Video for her Calvin Harris featuring hit 'We Found Love'.
Country pop star Taylor Swift, who recently scored a huge Billboard hit with her single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', also received a total of six nods across Best Female, Best Pop Act, Best Live Act and Best Look as well as a nomination for Best World Stage.
Fresh from the release of his latest album 'Believe', Justin Bieber is up for four awards at the MTV EMAs 2012 with nods in categories for Best Male, Best Pop Act, Best World Stage and Biggest Fans for his 'Beliebers'.
After heavily promoting her 3D concert movie earlier this summer Katy Perry has also scored four nominations for Best Female, Best Pop, Best Video for her soundtrack single 'Wide Awake' and Biggest Fans.
Nicki Minaj, who was announced for the new American Idol panel over the weekend, is up for Best Female, Best Look and Best Hip Hop while lady Gaga also has three nods including Best Live Act.

Other artists up for awards at this year's ceremony include 'What Makes You Beautiful' five-piece One Direction for Best New Act and Biggest Fans, and 'R.I.P.' singer Rita Ora for Best New Act and Best Push Artist.
The MTV Europe Music Awards take place on 11th November from Frankfurt, Germany with performers at the event yet to be announced.
