The Bajan star will have to beat Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj to take the crown with her bath-themed promo.
Rihanna's fans have started a campaign to help give the singer the VEVO world record for most plays in 24 hours on the file sharing site for her new music video.
The 'We Found Love' singer debuted the promo to her new release 'Stay' last night (11th February) and can be seen writhing around in the bath during the footage.
In order to take over from current record holders Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj with 'Beauty And A Beat' – the Bajan star needs to have claimed 11 million views by 1pm.
The video also features the track's writer Mikky Ekko – who sits beside her bathtub in the promo.
The pair also performed the song together at this weekend's Grammy Awards 2013.

Rihanna was also involved in another performance during the event – joining Bruno Mars and Sting for a special tribute segment to Bob Marley.
Meanwhile, the singer is preparing to head out on her 'Diamonds' world tour next month and will bring the jaunt over to the UK this summer.
