Rihanna Celebrates Seven Years Since First Single 'Pon De Replay'

The 'Talk That Talk' singer released her first song seven years ago and has been a chart mainstay ever since.
Rihanna is celebrating seven years to the day that she released her very first single 'Pon De Replay'.
The song was released as the 'We Found Love' singer's first solo release back in 2005, serving as the lead single from her debut album 'Music Of The Sun', back when Rihanna was just 17 years old.
The now 24 year-old singer wrote a celebratory message on Twitter last night (27th May), thanking those fans who have been supporting her since day one.
"Happy birthday Pon de Replay!" Rihanna tweeted on Sunday evening. "Today marks 7years #eliteNaviS**t I love y'all foreverrrrrrrr."
Last week Rihanna took to the stage on American Idol for a performance of her latest single 'Where Have You Been', taken from her sixth studio album 'Talk That Talk'.

The 'You Da One' singer returned to the US last week after spending several days in the UK, where she joined Jay-Z and Kanye West on stage at the O2 Arena during their 'Watch The Throne' tour for a performance of 'All Of The LIghts'.
Rihanna was also pictured with 'Bad Girls' rapper M.I.A. at a birthday party in central London for Jay-Z's manager Ty Ty, and later tweeted the English artist to celebrate her signing a management deal with Jay-Z' s Roc Nation label.
