The 'You da One' singer says 2012 will be spent working on new music ready for a new tour next year.
Rihanna has confirmed she won't be heading out on tour this year and will instead focus on recording new music and music videos, as well as continuing to develop her emerging career as an actress.
The 'We Found Love' singer spent much of 2011 on tour promoting her fifth album 'Loud' but says mich of 2012 will be spent working on other projects rather then hitting the road again.
"Right now I'm doing a bunch of meetings, little things here and there," Rihanna told Ryan Seacrest this week. "Some video, some photo shoots.
"No touring this year. I won't go on tour until next year," the 'You Da One' singer explained. "Though this year we're doing movies, and still making music and music videos. I"m really prepping for next year.
Rihanna also teased where her musical sound is going while working on the follow-up to her 2011 sixth album 'Talk That Talk', and confirmed she has already settled on a direction for the new record.
She added: I'm excited about it. I have the sound already. So it's just matter of execution!"
Rihanna confirmed this week that plans are in place for her to record a duet with best friend Katy Perry at some point in the near future.
