The 'We Found Love' singer says she has "no words" after hearing about the death of the 48 year-old singer and actress.
Rihanna and Katy Perry are some of the many to stars who have paid tribute to Whitney Houston following news of the singer's death late last night (11th February).
The 'Heartbreak Hotel' singer pronounced dead yesterday after emergency services were called to the Beverley Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles where Whitney had been staying ahead of today's Grammy Awards ceremony (12th February).
Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj and Christina Aguilera have all also posted messages of condolences on Twitter after hearing news of the 48 year-old singer's passing.
"No words! Just tears #Dear Whitney," Rihanna tweeted earlier today ."I honestly can't think of anything else!!!"
"So devastating," Katy Perry also posted. "We will always love you Whitney, R.I.P."
American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez posted comments saying the world had lost "one of the greatest voices of our time, while Nicki Minaj echoed the same sentiments.
"Jesus Christ, not Whitney Houston. Greatest of all time," the 'Super Bass' rapper tweeted.
Christina Aguilera wrote: "We have lost another legend. Love and prayers to Whitney's family. She will be missed."
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Whitey Houston was found dead in her room at the Los Angeles hotel, and say there were no signs of criminal intent and a full police investigation has been launched.
Whitney Houston's music career spanned almost three decades and she has sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos across the world.
