The 'Diamonds' star also says her mum is the only person who can judge her for what she posts online.
Rihanna has explained the reason she shares such intimate details about her life on photo-sharing websites like Instagram, and claims it's because she doesn't want to be "dishonest" with her fans.
The 'We Found Love' singer, who often posts candid pictures of herself online, also says the only person she is afraid of judging her is her mother, Monica Braithwaite.
'Well I Instagram everything about my life, whether it’s [being] in a strip club, reading a Bible verse - how crazy, I know! - or hanging out with my best friend, who happens to be Chris [Brown]," Rihanna reveals, in the new issue of Elle UK.
"Everybody wanted to know what was happening in my life. Is she a drug addict? No. Is she an alcoholic? No. Is she a victim? No," Rihanna explained. "That’s when I got the gun [tattoo]. It was a symbol of strength. I’ll never be a victim.
'That’s why I’m posting pictures […] to tell the truth about myself," the 'Diamonds' singer went on to say. "I’ve got so much to think about, why bring all this extra s**t by being dishonest?"

Rihanna then went on to admit that, although she tries not to let anyone else judge her, her mother is the one person who can make her feel bad about what she posts online.
"I'm not afraid of any person in this world but my mother, I'm terrified of her!" Rihanna revealed. "She called me two days ago and reeled me in about two naked pictures Melissa [Forde] put up on Instagram, a sneak peek from a photo book she's making about me.
"She went crazy on me, I was like embarrassed. I felt like I got my a** whipped in from of my class at school!" Rihanna added. "She humbled the f**k out of me."
The 'Stay' singer recently reconciled with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, despite a storm of media controversy around the relationship, and revealed in the same interview that she wants to have children within the next five years.
Rihanna is set to bring her new 'Diamonds' world tour to the UK this June.
