One Direction's Zayn Malik Shows Off New Longer Hairstyle In London

The 'One Thing' star was also sporting some designer stubble and a pair of geek-chic glasses as part of his new look.

One Direction star Zayn Malik showed off his new longer hairstyle this week ahead of a night out in central London.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer revealed to fans back in June that he was looking for a change from his usual Bruno Mars style quiff hairdo, and eventually decided he would grow it out to see what it looked like.

The boy band star showed off his hair efforts earlier this week while sporting a messy swept over style alongside designer stubble and a pair of thick-rimmed glasses in the style of musical legend Buddy Holly.

Zayn paired his new hairstyle with an usual vest combination of a black cut-off vest over the top of an oversized white one, alongside skinny black jeans and sneakers.

The 'Gotta Be You' singers had good reason to celebrate this week after it was revealed they have achieved combined sales of 12 million over the past twelve months, selling eight million singles, three million albums and one million copies of their live DVDs in just one year.

One Direction are also set to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 next month (6th September), promising they plan to "make a moment" on stage, as well as headlining a night of the iTunes Festival at the Camden Roundhouse on 20th September.
