The 'Gotta Be You' singer and the country star are said to have ended their short romance this past weekend.
One Direction have reportedly seen an increase in ticket sales since the announcement that band member Harry Styles split with girlfriend Taylor Swift last weekend.
The 'One Thing' singer and the 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' star enjoyed a short one month romance since going public in December but ended their relationship following a fight during their holiday in the Caribbean.
Ticket selling website Seatwave have since noticed a 50 percent jump in sales for the band's forthcoming 2013 world tour with tickets for Taylor's 'Red' outing falling.
"1D and Taylor Swift are two of the most popular acts in the world and they're consistently among our best-sellers," said spokesperson for the company Louise Mullock.
"However, the adulation received by 1D is one of a kind, and the boys' fans are famously protective. Since many of Taylor's fans are also 1D fans, she may have bitten off more than she can chew by dividing their loyalties."
Harry was seen arriving back in the UK alone earlier this week after the split and has since reunited with his One Direction bandmates to start preparations for their tour.
The 'Live While We're Young' singers will kick off their latest jaunt at London's O2 Arena on 23rd February.
