One Direction's Zayn Malik Says He And Rebecca Ferguson Are "Not In Touch At All"

The 'Gotta Be You' singer says the former couple's relationship ended badly back in 2011.

One Direction star Zayn Malik has revealed that he and ex-girlfriend Rebecca Ferguson don't speak anymore as their relationship ended "quite badly".

The 'Live While We're Young' singer and fellow The X Factor UK star Rebecca shared a four month relationship back in 2011 following their time on the ITV1 show, but Zayn has described the couple's time together as a "weird situation".

"We're not in touch at all," Zayn reveals in the latest issue of Now! magazine. "It was just a weird situation and a weird time I was going through being away from home on The X Factor tour.

"To get that comfort and friendship from someone was nice," the 'One Thing' singer explained, of his brief relationship with the 26 year-old mother of two. "But I think it was a wrong decision to make at such a young age.

He added: "Then it did end quite badly so we don't talk anymore."

19 year-old Zayn is now in a relationship with Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, and says the couple's success comes from having complete "trust and understanding" between each other.
