Little Mix's Perrie Edwards Confirms Relationship With One Direction's Zayn Malik

The girl band singer says she is "really happy" with the 'What Makes You Beautiful' boy band star.

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has confirmed she is in a relationship with One Direction's Zayn Malik. 

The 'Cannonball' singer made the revelation on This Morning today (25th May) and admitted that the two are "really happy" together.

The two young singers have been rumoured to be dating for several months ever since Little Mix won The X Factor in 2011, and new pictures out this week show the two sharing a public kiss for the first time.

"Obviously we are together and I think everyone knows that now," Perrie told This Morning hosts Holly Willhoughby and Philip Schofield today. "I am really, really happy but I'm not going to get into details."

The four-piece group went on to discuss the nature of being in a long distance relationship, with Zayn currently out in the US on tour with One Direction, and Perrie said the nature of their jobs makes it easier to deal with.

"You're more understanding because you get it," Perrie explained. "And it's more exciting when you see each other."

Little Mix are currently preparing to unveil their new single and album after the release of their first single 'Cannonball' back in December 2011.

One Direction are out in America at present on their first US headline tour, and are set to continue the nationwide jaunt with a performance tonight (25th May) at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
