The 'Gotta Be You' singers have confirmed their second album will be released sometime next year.
One Direction have confirmed plans to release their second album sometime in 2012.
Band member Niall Horan revealed they will head back into the studio early next year to begin work on the follow-up to their first album 'Up All Night'.
"2012 we're finishing off our tour, we're doing the new album and some promo stuff in Europe," Niall told 4Music earlier today (19th November). "It's going to be fun. Can't wait."
Niall made the comments while the band accepted awards for Best Group, Best Breakthrough and Best Video at the 4Music Video Honours this weekend.
"We didn't expect to win that many awards to people like Lady Gaga and Ed [Sheeran]," Liam Payne said, following their wins. "It's absolutely amazing."
Earlier this week the boys confirmed they support US boy band on tour in America next year.
The group will perform on the second night line-up of the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball on 4th December alongside Jessie J, JLS, The Saturdays, Emeli Sande and Wretch 32.
One Direction's debut album 'Up All Night' is released on Monday (21st November) while second single 'Gotta Be You' is available now.
