The 'Live While We're Young' singer says he and Liam Payne were back in the studio last weekend.
One Direction star Louis Tomlinson says is is "so excited" for fans to hear some of the new music the band is working on.
The 'Little Things' singer confirmed One Direction are back in the studio writing for their third studio album, after selling out the first batch of tickets for their 2014 stadium tour dates over the weekend.
"Amazing news on the stadium tour!! Sooo exciting! Thank you so much for making this happen," Louis tweeted on Satudday (25th May), when tickets for the first set of dates sold out just hours after going on sale. "More shows on sale nowwwwww!!!!!!"
Louis then went on to start teasing the band's new music when he revealed that he and Liam Payne were in the studio with a team of songwriters planning for the new record.
"F*****g so excited for this new record!" Louis posted. "Great day writing with @JohnHenryRyan @JulianBulian @JamieScottG6 @Real_Liam_Payne."
The 'Kiss You' stars are currently taking their 'Take Me Home' world tour across Europe, and managed to enjoy a training session with Real Madrid Football Club during their travels.
