The 'Little Things' singer criticised staff at the New York landmark earlier this week for being "arrogant".
One Direction singer Liam Payne has issued a full apology to staff at the Empire State Building, admitting there was a "misunderstanding" after he critised workers at the New York landmark on Twitter.
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer had previously stated he thought staff were "disrespectful" and "arrogant" towards himself and his family when they visited the tourist attraction recently.
"Just been to the Empire State Building had a great time except... The security detail in particular the senior security supervisor was arrogant, unproffesional and extreamly disrespectful to my family @EmpireStateBldg #TheresAlwaysTimeForManors," he wrote in a post, which has since been deleted.
The Empire State Building then issued a response on their official Twitter account, stating the boy band star was behaving poorly during his vist.
"@Real_Liam_Payne bad behaviour not accepted at ESB. No, our security does not know who you are, and does not care," they tweeted.
However, Liam has now admitted that he never meant to cause offence and will be more then willing to return again in the future.

"I would like to formally apologise to the Empire State Building security team and its owners for our misunderstanding the other night," he said, adding: "I didn't mean to cause anyone any problems and hope that I can come back again for a visit again in the future :)"
The visit came during the band's recent visit to New York where they performed a headline set at Madison Square Garden.
Liam was also pictured with his former girlfriend Danielle Peazer in New York, sparking speculation the pair are back dating once again.
