The five-piece have thanked the 'Take A Chance On Me' singers for entertaining them yesterday.
One Direction say they had a "great time" performing on The X Factor last night (27th November) and enjoyed hanging out with fellow boy band JLS.
The 'Gotta Be You' singers performed on yesterday's results show alongside four-piece JLS and the fifteen finalists, and have also thanked fans for supporting the new charity single 'Wishing On A Star'.
"Great day at The X Factor yesterday @jlsofficial funny day!" Niall tweeted this morning (28th November)."Woo JLS –sour cream! Go and get "wishing on a star" for a good cause."
"Had such a great time today," Louis Tomlinson also wrote. "Just wanna say a massive thank you to every single person who's supporting us and of course Ian Beale."
F ollowing their performance on the main show both JLS and One Direction competed in a boy band quiz on sister series The Xtra Factor which was won by One Direction.
Zayn Malik also thanked the band's fans for their support of debut album 'Up All Night', which entered in second place on the UK Album Chart last night.
"Just wna thank all the fans for buying the album this week you guys are amazing! X"
One Direction are due to perform at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball this Sunday (4th December) alongside Jessie J, JLS, The Saturdays, Emeli Sande and Wretch 32.
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' boy band are also set to embark on a 21-date tour of the UK beginning on 18th December.
