The boy band says Little Mix should win the reality series this year because they are "different" and "hot".
One Direction have backed The X Factor girl band Little Mix to become this year's winning act.
The 'Gotta Be You' singers say the four-piece have brought something different to this year's series of the ITV1 reality show.
"We're backing Little Mix to win The X Factor this year," band member Louis Tomlinson told The Sun during an in-store HMV signing for their first album 'Up All Night'. "They're different to most girl groups who go on the show."
Zayn Malik added: "And they are really hot too."
Harry Styles also addressed recent rumours of relationship between himself and The Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack.
"I wouldn't know what it's like trying to keep a relationship together 'cos I'm not really in one. Ask Liam!" Harry said.
One Direction filmed the music video for this year's The X Factor charity single this week, and admitted it had been a nostalgic experience for them.
"The video shoot was great," Louis added. "It was almost like we were back on The X Factor just for one day."
One Direction will embark on their first UK tour on 21st December with a performance at the Wolverhamption Civic Hall.
