One Direction's Zayn Malik Doesn't Want Freebies On Tour: "I Just Want The Biggest Bed!"

The 'One Thing' singer says having a good room while on tour is the most important thing for him.

One Direction star Zayn Malik says he doesn't care about getting freebies when the band head out on tour, as long as he gets the most comfortable bed in the hotel.

The 'Gotta Be You' singer says he isn't fussed about being showered with gifts and free food during the band's near constant touring and promotional schedule and claims the main thing he wants it to make sure he gets a good night's sleep.

"I'm not bothered about what we get before or after shows as long as our room is comfortable," Zayn revealed to The Sun this week. "If I can sleep well, then everything is going to be OK.

"To me, after any day, I just want the biggest, most comfortable bed in our hotel," the 'One Thing' singer explained. "It is one of the best things about being in the band - getting nice hotel rooms."

Zayn was speaking following One Direction's performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony, which saw the five boys singing their worldwide hit 'What Makes You Beautiful' live at the Olympic Stadium event.

After watching the band performing, Zayn's girlfriend Perrie Edwards, from girl band Little Mix, said she thought their performance had been "amazing" and praised the "incredible" line-up of acts on stage throughout the night.

Perrie also spoke out about her relationship with Zayn recently and said they are "really happy" and admits the One Direction star often treats her "like a princess".

One Direction are currently working on their second studio album and have promised the record will be out before the end of 2012.
