The 'Live While We're Young' group praise singer, who has collaborated with the band on their new album.
One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has said he believes Ed Sheeran is "one of the best lyricists of our generation".
The 'Live While We're Young' group have once again teamed up with the 'Lego House' star on their new album 'Take Me Home'.
Speaking to Capital FM about the collaboration, Louis said the group really like working with Ed because of his relaxed approach in the studio.
"He's just one of the best lyricists of our generation, so having the chance to work with him is amazing. It was really important for us," he said. "His method recording wise, you just do a couple of takes because he likes to keep it really raw and really real."
Zayn Malik said: "It's all just chilled. The whole vibe of his studio is chilled out.
"He's got a field and sometimes you just sit out on the field and jam with a guitar, play a little bit of football, walk into the studio when you feel like it, walk back out when you feel like it. It's wicked."

Ed previously worked with One Direction on their debut album 'Up All Night' and recently confirmed that he had teamed up with the group once again on their new record.
'Take Me Home' also features the group's Vodafone Big Top 40 number one single 'Live While We're Young'. The album is released in November.
