The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer says his co-host on the ITV1 show's sister series has been an "absolute star" to work with this year.
Olly Murs says he is going to miss hosting The Xtra Factor now the current series of the main ITV1 show has come to an end.
The X Factor bowed out last night (11th December) when girl band Little Mix were crowned 2011 champions over solo act Marcus Collins, and the 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer admits he was feeling emotional after the finale.
"Awwwww gunna miss doing Xtra Factor!! Loved every second of it!!" Olly tweeted last night. "It's been wicked!! Time for a nice break…& some cheeky drinks tonight!!
"Massive thanks to everyone that was involved in the show!! To all the tweets from you all, skype callers etc etc!! Really made the show!!"
Olly also gave a special mention to his co-host on The Xtra Factor, Caroline Flack, and thanked her for supporting him through his first presenting role.
"She has been an absolute star to me, helped me soooo much!!" Olly added. "We have an incredible friendship and she is a star!!
"I couldn't have done this without her!! I love ya hun!! Thanks for everything!!"
During the The Xtra Factor yesterday both Olly and Caroline admitted they would be open to the idea of returning to host the show again in 2012.
