The 'Troublemaker' star says the Take That man lived up to his high expectations.
Olly Murs has spoken out about his admiration for Robbie Williams and says he is glad people see similarities between the two artists.
The 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer is set to join Robbie's stadium tour this June as a support act, and says the 'Candy' star is such a "normal guy" that it's impossible not to like him.
"This is the perfect time for me to do stadiums. Now I feel I can stand up there with Robbie, and I am the right guy to support him," Olly revealed to The Daily Star this week. "What he said about me in the press conference to announce the tour was amazing, he said he sees a lot of me in him - and I see a lot of me in him too.
"Robbie is so funny, what you see is what you get, which is why people love him," the 'Troublemaker' singer explained. "He shows when he's said, when he's happy and that's what is so good about him. He's a normal guy.
"That's why I think people see similarities between me and him," Olly added. "You always worry when you meet one of your idols they might not be what you think they are, but he is."
