The 'Please Don't Let Me Go' singer says he is excited about being up for Best Single at the BRIT Awards in February.
Olly Murs says he is is excited after being nominated for an award at the BRIT Awards 2012.
The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer has been put up for Best Single at next month's ceremony, for his Big Top 40 number one single 'Heart Skips A Beat' featuring Rizzle Kicks.
"LOVE the tweets over BRIT Nom!!" Olly tweeted today (13th January). "Tough category as ever!! Would have loved to have been in Best Male category! But #fingerscrossednextyear."
He added: "Thanks to everyone whose bought it!"
Olly has been holidaying in Barbados for the past week but recently confirmed he will be back to work promoting his second album 'In Case You Didn't Know' on Monday (16th January).
Voting for all of the categories at this year's BRIT Awards has now opened, including the British Single award, which is voted for by listeners of Capital FM.
Each listener who casts a vote for British Single will be entered into a competition to win a pair of tickets to this year's ceremony.
