The 'Wet' singer's ex-bandmate says her jealousy was a factor in the group's split.
Former Pussycat Dolls star Carmit Bachar has claimed Nicole Scherzinger's jealousy of bandmate Ashley Roberts was one of the reasons behind the band's eventual break-up.
Carmit, who voluntarily left the girl band back in 2008, says 'Try With Me' singer Nicole had felt "threatened" by Ashley, who is currently starring on ITV's I'm A Celebrity…Get Me House Of Here!.
"Nicole was jealous of Ashley," Carmit revealed to The Sun this week. "She felt threatened by her, like people would prefer her because of the way she looked.
"Ashley had that iconic American thing going on, blonde hair, blue eyes," the former pop star explained. "It was the look Nicole seemed to want but could never have.
"No one could understand why Nicole was so jealous. She was an exotic beauty with a look most girls would kill for," Carmit continued. "But she always had a thing about blonde girls. Ashley knew that Nicole was jealous of her and it made her feel uncomfortable. It was a hideous undertone in the group.
Both Nicole and Ashley eventually left the band in 2010, although a completely new line-up of Pussycat Dolls has since been formed following their split.
