Her pet pooch sadly passed away this week and she couldn't hold back her emotions during a gig in Boston.
Miley Cyrus was seen breaking down on stage during a show in Boston as she dedicated a song to her dog Floyd – who passed away this week.
The 'Wrecking Ball' singer told the crowd that Floyd was always her favourite and couldn't hold back the tears as she prepared for a cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Landslide'.
"I just wanna do a song for him. We used to always listen to Fleetwood Mac together, it's his favorite song…so I wanna do this song for Floyd," she told the audience.
The singer has received a wealth of messages from fans on Twitter after she broke the news.
Miley told fans the loss had left her "broken" as she struggles to cope with her emotions.
She tweeted: "what you don't understand is he's not in a better place the best place he could be was with me... where he was loved more than anything."
Meanwhile, Miley will be bringing her 'Bangerz' world tour over to the UK next month.
