Matt Cardle reveals album progress

Matt Cardle has talked about the progress of his debut album.

Chatting exclusively to us on the BRITs red carpet, Matt said: 'I'm in the studio writing.

'I'm working with a great A&R Chris Briggs, so hopefully the album is going to be what I want it to be.'

He also revealed that he hoped to catch up with X Factor duet partner Rihanna .

'She's an absolute sweetheart,' he said.
