Maroon 5 have gone for a fresh new sound for their latest offering from new album ‘V’
It’s a totally different sound from what we are used to, with Adam Levine’s amazing vocals on top – Maroon 5 have revealed the audio for ‘It Was Always You’.
Heading down a more electro-pop route from the rest of the album, ‘It Was Always You’ is a touching love song.
The latest song to be revealed from their upcoming fifth studio album, ‘V’, following on from the lead track ‘Maps’ was co-produced by The Monsters and Strangerz.
With it’s heartfelt lyrics, many fans have suggested that the song may be a dedication to Adam’s new wife Behati Prinsloo. Aww!
Adam recently described the album to MTV News, “There’s some stuff on our record that sounds a little like early Maroon 5, and then there’s some stuff that sounds like the newer direction that we went in.”

“I think that’s kind of the idea behind the album. It’s our fifth record. [Five] is literally part of our name. We thought we’d get back to certain elements that we’d been missing out on for a while with our original sound, but also bridge the gap with the new stuff that we’ve been doing. I think it’s an all-encompassing kind of record.”
It sounds like it’s working!
